Dynamic statuses
Where your relationship stands, and what each status means.
A dynamic’s status is where the two of you are right now. The five commitment levels — Under consideration, Friends, Playing around, In training, and Owned — are a shared decision: one of you proposes a change and the other approves it before it takes effect. Pausing or ending is different — either of you can do that instantly, at any time, no approval needed.
Under consideration
You're considering the dynamic — talking it through, weighing it up, and feeling out whether and how to begin. Nothing is set yet, and there's no power exchange while you decide.
Friends
No power exchange right now — you're friends. A starting point before anything begins, or a place you can always return to.
Playing around
Casual, low-stakes play. Trying things out for fun, exploring, with no commitment on either side.
In training
Trying the dynamic on for real — learning the roles, building the structure, and seeing whether this fits the two of you.
Owned
Fully committed. The D/s dynamic is established and serious — full power exchange, as the two of you have agreed.
Paused
On hold by mutual care. New assignments and enforcement stop, while check-ins and journaling stay open so you can keep looking after each other. Either partner can pause or lift it at any time.
Ended
The dynamic is closed. It stays as read-only history — a record of what you shared — with no further activity.
