Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

Your privacy is the whole point of My Dynamic. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the app and website at mydynamicapp.com (the “Service”).

1. Who this is for

The Service is for consenting adults (18+) only, and every account states a date of birth before it can be used — see the Age Verification Policy, which also covers what we do with that date. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will remove the account.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, username, and display name.
  • Profile details: an optional profile photo and the display name others in your dynamic see.
  • Content you create: the records you and your partner keep — such as agreements, routines, tasks, check-ins, journals, chastity and intimacy logs, wardrobe, calendar entries, names you add to your relationship map, notes, and any photos you upload.
  • Notification tokens: if you enable push notifications, the token your device needs to receive them.
  • Limited technical data: basic logs needed to keep the Service running and secure.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (whether you are subscribed, to which plan, and until when) and a Stripe customer reference, but we do not collect or store your full card number. The payment details you give Stripe are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

3. Sensitive information

Much of what you record here concerns your relationship and sex life. We treat this as sensitive (“special category”) information. You provide it voluntarily and with your explicit consent, and we use it only to provide the Service to you and the other member of your dynamic.

4. How we use your information

  • To run the Service and sync your shared space between the two of you.
  • To send notifications you have turned on.
  • To manage your trial and subscription.
  • To email you news about My Dynamic itself (at most once a month), and occasional offers, such as a discount when your trial ends or after you have been away a while (never more than one a month). Every one has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn either kind off in Settings.
  • To keep the Service secure and to prevent abuse.
  • To respond to you when you contact support.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by anyone else.

5. Who can see your information

Your content is private to your dynamic. Each couple’s space is isolated from every other at the database level, so members of one dynamic cannot see another’s content. We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service — for example our hosting and database provider, our email provider, our push-notification service, and our payment processor (Stripe) — and only to the extent they need it to do their job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

6. Photos

Photos you upload are stored privately. Before storage, we strip embedded metadata — including any GPS location data your camera may have added — so your images are not silently geotagged. Photos are shown through short-lived private links rather than public URLs.

7. Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is enforced by strict per-couple database rules. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting this data is our top priority given how personal it is.

Those rules apply to us as well. Our administrative tools can see how many accounts exist, the email addresses on them, when each account last had the app open and which plan it is on, can see which address contributed each community library entry and the name on each review of the app, and can remove an entry from the library, give an account free access, or delete an account. They cannot open what is inside a dynamic — your tasks, rules, check-ins, journals, logs, and photos are reachable by the people in that dynamic and by nobody else, ourselves included.

We also count how the Service is used, so we know which parts are worth keeping. That means totals — how many people used a feature and how many times — and a record of which days each account had the app open. It never includes what you wrote, who you wrote it to, or which dynamic it happened in, and the counts our tools show cannot be traced back to an individual account. The record of days is deleted with your account.

8. Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete content within the app, and you can delete your account from your Profile, which removes your account and the content and photos you created. Ended dynamics remain available to you until you choose to delete them.

You do not need to sign in to delete your data. If you have lost your password, or no longer use the app, go to Delete my data, enter the email address on your account, and we will email a one-time link. Following it and confirming deletes your account, your content, and your photos. The link expires after an hour, and nothing is deleted until you confirm.

Deletion is permanent. What we may keep is limited to records we are legally required to preserve, such as a report involving a minor (see the Content Policy). If you share a dynamic with a partner, it is ended rather than erased, and your partner keeps a read-only record of it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the laws of California and Minnesota, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to know whether we sell it (we do not). You can export your data and delete your account from your Profile, delete without signing in using the page above, or email us for anything else.

We will respond to a request within 45 days, and tell you if we need longer. If we decline a request, we will explain why. You may then appeal by replying to that email within 60 days, and we will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days of receiving it. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
